Company Executives Invited to Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange for Research

On June 3, 2024, our company's Chairman Chen Zhixuan, China General Manager Qiu Fubing, and Sweden General Manager Jelin were invited to the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the Shanghai EEX) for research. Shanghai EEX General Manager Liu Jie, Market Operations Department Head Sang Yi, and others participated in the research activities.

During the meeting, Chairman Chen Zhixuan and General Manager Liu Jie gave detailed introductions to their respective business areas. They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as China-Europe carbon footprint certification and China-Europe export aluminum methodology certification. They also exchanged views on how to manage and implement the international carbon market mechanisms under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), specifically Article 6.2 and Article 6.4 of The Paris Agreement.

General Manager Liu Jie provided insights into China's future industry policies and development directions. He mentioned that many industries in China are currently formulating brand globalization plans, which require a deep understanding of relevant international policies. He expressed hope that both parties could find points of alignment for cooperation.

Chairman Chen Zhixuan emphasized that our company highly values the cooperation and exchange between China and Europe in the carbon market. He expressed the hope that this research and exchange could further promote cooperation between both parties in the international carbon market mechanism, achieving mutual development.

This research activity has laid a solid foundation for cooperation between both parties in the international carbon market field and has pointed out directions for further future cooperation.
