In 2025, the first compliance cycle, shipping companies have until April 30 to submit their emissions reports for the previous calendar year to the European Commission and the country where the ship is registered through THETIS MRV. Shipping companies must monitor each ship according to their respective monitoring plans, greenhouse gas emissions, fuel consumption and other parameters such as distance travelled, time at sea and the cargo carried on each voyage.
