On January 30th, the Official Journal of the European Union officially released a list of allocation for shipping companies and regulatory agencies.
The purpose of this list is to allocate global shipping companies related to the European Union to specific EU member states, and the relevant agencies of the corresponding EU member states will be responsible for the application, supervision, and other specific work of quota accounts for shipping companies.
Key points:
1. Shipping companies involved in the EU region (mainly DOC companies) need to find their corresponding EU member states on this list and search for the rules and requirements of the corresponding countries.
2. The shipping companies listed need to contact the corresponding management agency within 40 working days to apply for the opening of a maritime operator holding account.
3. If the company name does not appear on this list during my first visit to the European Union, I need to contact the Thetis MRV service desk to register.
4. In addition, the ship management company needs to submit an updated and verified monitoring plan to Thetis before April 1st.
