SCTM collaborates with CRI to promote green methanol and ISCC certification

On November 27, Chairperson Chen Zhixuan and General Manager Jelin visited Carbon Recycling International (CRI) in Iceland for a tour and exchange. The visit aimed to deepen collaboration between the two parties in the production of green methanol and the field of International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), jointly advancing green and sustainable development.

During the visiting, the CRI representatives provided a comprehensive overview of their core business, technological advantages, and future development strategies in the field of green methanol. In particular, CRI showcased its globally leading innovations in producing e-methanol using captured carbon dioxide, laying a solid foundation for advancing renewable energy development.

The two parties engaged in an in-depth discussion on the international market value of ISCC certification. Chen Zhixuan expressed a desire for closer collaboration to promote ISCC certification standards, helping more companies achieve ISCC certification and accelerating their products' entry into international markets.

In addition, CRI representatives provided a detailed update on their business progress in Zhejiang Province, China, as well as their collaboration with Geely Group, highlighting their deep engagement with the Chinese market. This creates an excellent opportunity for future synergies between the two parties.

The two sides reached a preliminary consensus to sign a strategic cooperation agreement focusing on the following core areas:

1. Promoting the adoption of ISCC International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, supporting more companies in achieving green transformation and international development;

2. Deepening collaboration in the production and technological development of green methanol, accelerating its commercialization process.
